THAILAND HERE I COME!!
4 more sleeps and I'll be flying to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand for 3 months. Very excited! Actually, I'll be staying in the small village of Doi Saket about 20 km north of Chiang Mai.
This time I have an entirely different Senior Servant role. I'm going to take part in a new course called Embark. http://embarkasiapacific.yfc.net/ I am going as the cordinator's assistant but will participate in some of the course too, particularly the TESOL training. Whilst in Chiang Mai I will also spend time in the YFC Asia Pacific office with the staff. And no doubt I'll be doing lots of other things as well.
I will be living with Kristi from the US and Lana from Canada. I met these two beauitful young women last year in Denver at the YFC General Assembly and now I will be living and working with them in Thailand. Also with us will be the Embark students. As this is the first time the course has been offered there are only 2 students - one from Canada and the other from the US. And so, as we all experience this new course and Doi Saket and Chiang Mai together, we expect to grow lots, laugh lots and learn lots.
