We had the most wonderful time with our neighbours last night. Lana cooked a delicious meal and we all sat and enjoyed, trying our little bits of Thai with their little bits of English. Fortunately Kristi has a little more Thai than the rest in our household and Mike and Paul had a little more English than the rest of their family!
After our main meal Lana invited each person to make up their own dessert using chocolate chips, bananas, chocolate covered biscuits and marshmallows all wrapped in aluminium foil to cook on the fire outside.
Our visitors really enjoyed themselves and then off we went outside to the fire pit in our garden and soccer on the grass.
Some of us sat around the fire enjoying language lessons - woman, girl (young woman!), old woman - me! Soccer finished when the 's'mores' were ready, but poor Kristi had to come off a bit early as she broke both her big toe nails ruining a jolly good paint job and bleeding all over her sandals!

Paul, the dad, taught us a fun new game 'Policeman and the Bad Guy' and whoever lost each round had to sing a song or dance. Lots of fun. The highlight for me was towards the end of the evening when we listened spellbound to our visitors all singing a beautiful worship song together in Thai - a taste of Heaven.
We think our neighbours enjoyed themselves because they have invited us to their house in a fortnight's time and we're really looking forward to that.
