From July 8-11 I will join about 50 young people at the YFC Ethiopia annual Young Leaders' Camp.
I am excited to be joining these quality young people who have come through the Young Leaders' Training over recent years. These particular students are the ones who are now committed to equipping and discipling young people in their universities, churches, workplaces and communities.

David Kadalie, from South Africa, will lead us through Hebrews and help us to look at what leadership looks like in light of what is written in Hebrews, what we should be following/obeying after studying this book together, and how it applies in the unis, workplaces, churches and communities of the young leaders and also in our lives. The aim is to equip these key leaders for future ministry whether in YFC or outside the movement.
I am really looking forward to a wonderful time learning alongside the young leaders plus David,
Alem (National Director of YFC Ethiopia),
Getu ( YFC Ministry Coordinator),
Biruk, the chairman of the board,
and some of the other YFC board members.

The young leaders attending the camp are mostly uni students with limited budgets and each one is responsible for finding their own funds (AU$80) to attend the camp. If anyone would like to help the young people to attend this camp I know they would be extremely grateful.

There are two other opportunities to support YFC financially here in Ethiopia.
Whilst taking part in the VBS program I realized that the craft activities are greatly limited by the lack of resources. I have spoken with Alem and we have decided that if funds are given she will ask her sister-in-law to bring some craft resources from the US when she comes early in the new year.
If this appeals to you, I would be really happy to hear from you via email - address above.
The other thing that YFC here really struggles with is financial means to pay their staff or for the staff who raise their own funds to raise sufficient to afford to live adequately. If you would be interested to give one-off donations or sponsor on a regular basis a YFC Ethiopia staff member, that would be greatly appreciated. Once again, please be in touch via my personal email.
YFC here does an awesome job loving young people into the Kingdom and they need all the encouragement they can get.
