We found this fun place. Well, it's fun for people who like hardware stores like we do. We are calling it Funnings - Fun to go to because we do like hardware places and it has everything - just like Bunnings! It just looks quite different in this city.
We were out to find a toilet seat to replace the one I broke whilst checking out Google Translate for the washing machine.
In amongst the maze of little shops we found just what we needed. Pretty pleased.
We wanted to be sure we got the right one so David took the broken toilet seat in his back pack . . . . . as you do!
The shop owner was very helpful once we got the message across. It wasn't too hard with a broken toilet seat in hand!
And this very friendly and helpful lady translated for us when it came to cost and instructions. Her English was excellent and she was very happy to help. I had to work hard to get her to pose for the photo though.
Funnings looks like a lot of fun! I am really enjoying reading your blog posts. Especially the one about David's resourcefulness. What a brilliant idea!
